LIFE SPAN

WHAT IS THE LIFE SPAN OF CONVENTIONAL CAST IRON PIPES?

Consumption and lifestyle preferences affect the life-span of sewage pipes. The life span may vary greatly among real estates. There can even be differences in pipe health among separate flats within a housing corporation. The life span of conventional cast iron pipes is 30-60 years.

WHAT IS THE LIFE SPAN OF PIPES RELINED BY NEWLINER?

The life span of new pipes created using the NewLiner injection casting technique is estimated to be 40-60 years.

The expected life span of pipes relined using the pipe liner technique is about 50 years.

DO THE NEW PIPES RELINED BY NEWLINER REALLY LAST AS LONG AS CONVENTIONALLY REPLACED PIPES?

There are no indications that the life span of the new pipes we reline is shorter than that of conventionally replaced pipes.

Until the 1970s, most sewer pipes were made of cast iron. After this, PVC plastic was taken into use as well. Today, most pipes are made of PP and PEH plastics.

Although the experience we have gathered from pipes that have been renovated using our injection casting and pipe liner techniques does not extend as far back as that gathered from the use of new cast iron pipes, it has nonetheless been very positive.

IS NEWLINER PIPE RELINING A SO-CALLED POSTPONING RENOVATION?

The new pipes we create will postpone necessary pipe renovations approximately as far into the future as cast iron pipes replaced in the conventional manner. Conventionally replaced pipes require renovation or replacement every 30-60 years.
